His All Holiness Patriarch Nicolas was elected unanimously at the Holy Synod of October 2011.

Since May 2014 and the last Synod the Patriarchate has the title of "Orthodox Patriarchate of Nations" This is to meet the demand of Christ's words: "Go teach the nations and baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy -Esprit. "

Our Patriarch now has the title of Patriarch of Nations. It is Metropolitan Archbishop of Paris and heads the Church of France and the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of Nations, which includes 62 bishops to date, on five continents. It presides all organisms of the Church.
